Hair Transplant Scars
With every surgery there is not only a risk but there is always a chance you will be left with a scar. Hair transplant surgery is no different than any other surgery when it comes to leaving a scar and many people have already faced that battle. Scars on our body are much like tattoos; they show us where we’ve been when we no longer remember the memory that got us there. Scars are a look into our past and through them we begin to remember lost or fading memories.

Hair transplant is a journey certain people want to take after years of fighting baldness, it becomes a choice that a person may make. When you first arrive at your hair doctor’s office the topic of scarring should be approached. Your doctor should tell you where you might expect some scarring and what you can do about them. For a lot of people unless you are planning to shave your head the scarring would not be that much of an issue because longer hair can cover them up. I would assume since hair transplant surgery is being looked into that no one would be shaving their head any time soon.
However, there are people that find themselves obsessed with a scar even though they cannot see it. Here are some tips to use to help either hide your scar or lessen it:
• Get a Scalp Tattoo
• Wear a Wig (until the brightness of the scar lessens)
• Have a Body or Beard Transplant performed to use as fillers
• Look into DermMatch, cosmetic camouflaging treatment
These scars are usually seen around the donor area and can be very minimum, it is truly up to you if you can live with a small scar and no balding or if you would rather have the balding instead.
